ThePickAU

Privacy Policy

How ThePickAU handles information about you, which turns out to be very little indeed.

1. What this site is

ThePickAU (thepickau.com) is a small website that offers a handful of classic games played inside the browser. Nobody has an account, a profile or a password here, because none of those exist on the site. You can use the whole site without ever telling us who you are.

2. Information we collect

Personal details are never requested, and the site contains no form that could collect them. Like almost every website, our server writes a routine technical entry for each request it receives:

Those entries let us keep the site healthy and tell us which pages are being visited. They are not used to build a profile of you, and they are never sold or passed on for advertising.

3. Cookies and browser storage

No cookies of the site’s own are ever set. 2048 and Sudoku keep your current grid in your browser’s local storage so you can pick up where you left off; that information remains on your device, is never sent to us, and can be cleared from your browser settings whenever you wish.

4. Links to other websites

Every game is hosted right here. Where a page does link elsewhere, an email link for instance, the destination has its own privacy policy and its own cookies, and we have neither control over them nor any view of them.

5. Email you send us

Should you write to info@thepickau.com, we keep your message and address for as long as it takes to reply and for a reasonable time after that. We never add your address to any kind of mailing list.

6. Children

The games on offer are the sort found in school rooms and family lounges: chess, sudoku, number puzzles. The site is not directed specifically at young children, and because no personal information is collected, we do not knowingly hold any data about them.

7. Your rights

Depending on your country, you may have the right to ask what information we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. As there is no account data, such a request would usually relate to server logs or to an email conversation. Send a note to info@thepickau.com and we will reply.

8. Security

Pages travel over HTTPS and the software underneath is updated regularly. Nothing is ever bulletproof, yet a site that keeps no personal data leaves almost nothing for an intruder to find.

9. Changes to this policy

Whenever the site itself changes, so will this page. The version you are reading is the one currently in force.

10. Contact

Send any question about this policy to info@thepickau.com.
